Periodically throughout the year, we set aside a full day (10am to 4pm) to do the kind of deep, focused work weekly lessons don't have room for. Each child gets individual coaching time on their own current piece, group instruction in music theory, and ensemble work on piano and/or drums alongside their peers.
Students begin with one-on-one coaching on the piece they're already working on, getting focused attention on technique and interpretation. From there, the group comes together for ABRSM-informed music theory instruction, followed by ensemble work on piano and/or drums — applying what they've learned in a live group setting, not just individual practice.
Who it's for
Open to current piano students and children with at least one year of musical experience.
What to bring
Just a pencil and comfortable clothing, as some activities require movement — everything else is provided.
Held in Manhattan or Brooklyn depending on enrollment; exact location shared closer to the date.
